Leominster maintain West Clubs' Women's League promotion push by beating Jaspers

Leominster boosted their promotion hopes in the West Clubs’ Women’s League North Division with a 2-1 home success against Jaspers.

Leominster fell behind early on but drew back on level terms when player-of-the-match Chloe Reynolds fired home Leominster moved ahead when Liz Ranft converted a short corner and then defended well to gain a revenge win for an early-season defeat.

Hereford’s men saved their best performance of the season in Premier 3 of the Davis Wood League for their penultimate game when they won 3-2 at promoted Exeter University.

Mike Broady scored twice before Chris Hill hit the winner with two minutes remaining.

Leominster’s men also produced a top display when they beat North Division 1’s second-placed side Penarth 8-3 at Bridge Street.

Rob Goodman (4), Ed Healey (3) and Nick Duggan scored for Leominster.

A late winner from Emma Bryan in a 2-1 success at Swansea City 3rd keeps Kington in third place in Division 1 of the South Wales League.

Jenny Layton Mills had fired the border club ahead before Swansea levelled from a penalty corner.
