Mixed fortunes for Hereford against Taunton Vale and Firebrands

HEREFORD had mixed fortunes in their two matches in the Davis Wood Hockey Men’s League Premier Division Three.

They suffered a 4-3 home defeat against Taunton Vale 2nd on Saturday but bounced back to win 4-2 against Bristol-based Firebrands on Sunday.

Braces from man-of-the-match Josh Watkins and Ed Healey led in-form Leominster to a comfortable 4-1 win at Weston-super-Mare in North Division One.

Adrian Williams took his tally to 34 goals for the season after table-topping Ross secured a hard-fought 4-2 win at Bourton & Sherborne in Hereford and Glos Division One.

Williams scored twice with Phil Evans and Jake Heteyni baging the others.
