A HAT-trick from skipper Andy Rogers sealed a fine Hereford fight-back as they rallied from three goals down to earn a useful Davis Wood League Premier Three point at Plymouth University.

After the long trip to Devon, Hereford made a slow start and quickly found themselves three goals adrift after errors at the back.

But the fightback began just before the break when Rogers finished under the keeper.

After the interval, Hereford continued their improvement and Rogers touched home a Mike Broady penalty corner.

Another neat interchange with Broady enabled Rogers to complete the revival.

Leominster were made to pay for an inability to defend penalty corners as they slipped 7-5 to Cirencester in the North Division.

The visitors had more than 10 penalty corners and scored from seven of them to take the points.

They took the lead early on before Rob Goodman levelled.

Jack Castle was taken to hospital to have four stitches put in an injury but goals from Harry Ellis, Goodman and Josh Watkins saw Leominster lead 4-3 at the break.

That was as good as it got, though, for the north Herefordshire side who conceded four times in the second period with the only reply coming from Watkins.

Hereford 3rd had to settle for a 2-2 draw with visiting Newent 3rd in Herefords & Glos 2, despite taking a twogoal lead.

Stuart Volpe and Richard Lawson converted penalty corners for the belowstrength city side but Newent hit back after the break for a share of the points.
