Hereford beaten by well-drilled Exeter University side

HEREFORD went down to a well-drilled Exeter University side 4-2 in Premier 3 of the Davis Wood League.

Daiyle Door opened the scoring for Hereford by stabbing home an early cross but they conceded two goals to go in 2-1 down at the break.

Exeter extended their lead with a stunning score before Colin Amos pulled a goal back for Hereford.

Hereford conceded a fourth after getting caught on the break by their opponents.

Leominster held North Division leaders Penarth to a 2-2 draw.

Josh Watkins finished neatly from a short corner to give Leominster the lead after good work from Jonathan Davis and Dave Harvey.

Penarth were quicker out of the blocks than their opponents after the restart, scoring two quick goals to take the lead.

Leominster were not finished, however, and equalised through Ed Healey with a reverse hit shot.

Leominster Ladies scored a well-deserved 7-3 win over BAC in the North Division of the West Clubs'

Women's League .

The visitors’ early score was cancelled out by a strike from Kate Holder before Leominster took the lead through a penalty stroke from Liz Raft.

BAC equalised but strikes from Andrea Houston and Nina Emery gave the hosts a 4-2 lead at the break.

BAC scored first after the interval but further strikes from Houston, Emery and Karen Hackley ensured Leominster went home worthy winners.

Hereford also did well in Premier 2 with Becky Edwards (2) and Claire Pritchard scoring in a 3-0 win at Bournemouth 2nd.

Ross edged out Forest of Dean rivals Lydney 3-2 in a tense encounter in Davis Wood Herefordshire & Glos 1.

Phil Evans opened the scoring for Ross but the hosts took their foot off the pedal and conceded two quick goals.

After creating several opportunities Ross eventually drew level through Tom Walton.

Ross were reduced to 10 men when Luke Ward received a yellow card for stopping the ball with his foot but the home side managed to net the winner through Kristian Franklin.

Ross completed a club double when their second- string beat Hereford 3rd 1-0 in Herefordshire & Glos 2.

Kington Ladies put on a good display against Whitchurch in Division 1 of the South Wales Women's League but were unable to avoid slipping to a 4-1 defeat.

Sarah Betterton was the lone scorer for Kington.
