HEREFORD claimed their third win at home after beating Blockley 6-4 in an entertaining North Division match of the West Clubs' Women's Hockey League.

The victory leaves the city side in second place, but only behind leaders Cirencester, but only on goal difference.

Elsewhere, Leominster lost 3-1 to Newent Seconds and are second from bottom.

Hereford Seconds are finding life tough in Severn Division One and are still winless following a 7-1 hammering by Gloucester Thirds.

Ross-on-Wye were also thrashed in Severn Division Two, going down 10-0 to leaders Evesham & Badsey, while Colwall & Malvern beat Stroud Seconds 1-0.

Colwall & Malvern Seconds drew 1-1 at Cirencester Fourths in Severn Division 3.

In Premier 1 of the South Wales Hockey League, Presteigne only had a Charlie Price goal to show in a 3-1 home defeat to Gwent, but Kington beat Penarth Seconds 2-1 in Division One.

Meanwjile in De Cymru & The Marches 1 of the GoCrea8 Hockey League, Leominster have slipped to third after losing 5-2 to Cleevillians, while Ross-on-Wye lost 3-2 to Cheltenham Thirds.
