HOCKEY is to be celebrated in Leominster part of a nationwide programme.
Both the men's and ladies teams, as well as Tenbury Ladies and Kingsland Mini Hockey Club, will put on a festival of hockey at Bridge Street Sports Centre this Saturday and provide an opportunity for juniors to pick up a stick and give the sport a go.
A free junior coaching session will take place from 9am to 11pm, with adult mixed hockey matches then commencing until 3pm.
"We are proud of our track record of youth development in the area but we hope through the Hockeyfest initiative more people will pick up a stick and enjoy the sport with us," said Ian Johnson,chairman of Kingsland Mini Hockey and Leominster Men's Hockey Club.
