Hereford lost to Firebrands 2nd in Conference North, but Leominster beat Lydney
HEREFORD and Leominster had contrasting results in their last games of the GoCrea8 Hockey League before the festive break.
Hereford went down 4-2 to Firebrands 2nd, while Leominster thrashed bottom club Lydney 5-1.
Leominster sit in ninth place in the Conference North division, two places above Hereford.
In The Marches 2, Hereford 2nd beat Abergavenny 2-0.
Ross-on-Wye's last game of the year in De Cymru & The Marches 2 was a 3-1 defeat to Cardiff & Metropolitan 5th.
The seconds also lost, going down 9-1 to Winchcombe in The Marches 2.
Presteigne Ladies, meanwhile, beat Kington 4-0 in the Sunday Marches League.
Meg Cosgrove, Lesley Phillips, Tina Sparey and Bethan Watson scored Presteigne's goals.
