HEREFORD saw off the challenge of Chippenham to record a fine 4-1 victory in West Clubs' Women's League Premier Division 2A.
The win lifts the city side above their opponents into eighth place.
Elsewhere, Leominster slipped to a 2-0 home defeat by Westberries 2nd in the North Division.
There was mixed news for county sides in Severn Division 1 as Colwall & Malvern lost 8-0 at Cheltenham 3rd, but Hereford 2nd recorded a fine 2-0 win at Cheltenham CS.
In Severn Division 2, Ross-on-Wye were on the wrong end of a 7-0 scoreline atBadgers, while Colwall & Malvern 2nd beat Painswick 5-0 in Severn Division 3.
Presteigne failed to follow-up last weekend's 6-0 win in Premier 2 of the South Wales League after losing 5-1 at home to Rhondda.
In Mid-West Counties Female League, goals from Ella Voyce and Hayley Jones helped Lads Club to a 2-0 win at Droitwich Spa.
In the Davis Wood Hockey League, Hereford went down 6-1 at home to West Wilts in Conference North, while Leominster drew a high-scoring game 4-4 against Whitchurch 2nd.
Ross thrashed Brecon 9-3 in De Cymru and The Matches 2.
Leominster 2nd were held 1-1 by Gloucester C 2nd in The Marches 1. In the same division, Hereford 2nd lost 2-1 at Newent 2nd.
Ross 2nd also lost out narrowly in The Marches 2, going down 2-1 at Cirencester 4th.
