BOTH Hereford and Leominster lost in their respective Conference North games of the GoCrea8 Hockey League on Saturday.

Hereford went down 4-1 at home to Swindon, a result that keeps them second from bottom in the division, which Leominster were hammered 7-2 against Devizes.

It doesn't get any easier for Leominster because this weekend, they travel top table-toppers Wotton-under-Edge.

Hereford, meanwhile, travel to bottom club Lydney.

Ross-on-Wye are joint top of the De Cymru & The Marches 2 tables, with the south Herefordshire beating Gwent 2-1 last time out.

In the Marches 1, Hereford Seconds beat Gloucester City Fourths 2-1, while Leominster Seconds overcame Cirencester Thirds 3-0.

Hereford Ladies are still bottom of West Clubs's Women's Hockey League Premier Division 2A after losing 2-1 to Jaspers, while Leominster were thrashed 7-0 by Lansdown in North Division.

Hereford Seconds also lost, going down 4-0 to Newent Seconds in Severn Division 1, while in the same division, Colwall & Malvern were beaten 5-1 by Cirencester.

Ross-on-Wye were comfortably beaten 5-2 at home to Cirencester Seconds in Severn Division 2 and in Severn Division 3, Colwall & Malvern Seconds were demolished 14-0 by Gloucester Fourths.

An din the South Wales Hockey League, Presteigne went down 4-2 at home to Swansea University in the Premier 2 Division, while Kington lost 3-1 to Radnor in Division One.
