INJURY and illness-hit Leominster surrendered their 100% record in West Clubs' Women's League North Division to Jaspers after a 2-1 home reverse.

Despite their weakened team, Leominster went ahead with a well worked goal by Sarah Nightingale but Jaspers found a way through to bring the scores level.

Jaspers' keeper continued to deny the home side whose back four of Liz Ranft, Chloe Reynolds, Becki Boulcott and Debbie Jones worked hard to keep the visitors at bay.

But Jaspers broke and snatched the points with a messy deflection.

On a disappointing day for the north Herefordshire club, Leominster's men were beaten 3-1 at home by Davis Wood League Conference North leaders Cardiff & Met 3rd.

The students' 4th team, however, were the latest team to fall victim to Hereford in De Cymru and Marches 1, with the city side's latest victory, 2-1 away, keeping their unbeaten run going and cementing second place.

After a goalless first half, Andy Rogers crossed for Stew Goodarzi to fire Hereford ahead.

Cardiff levelled the scores before Goodarzi returned the favour for Rogers to fire in the winner.

Hereford have now won five and drawn the other of their six matches.

Presteigne suffered a last-gasp reverse at Swansea, going down 3-2 to the last play of the match in the their South Wales League Premier Two.

Swansea opened the scoring but a fine penalty save by Presteigne keeper Rita Rhodes kept the margin at a single goal before Rita Tomkins levelled the scores.

Swansea scored again but player-of-the-match Lesley Phillips and Charlie Morris set up Tomkins for her second before Presteigne suffered heartbreak in the last seconds.
