LEOMINSTER have moved two points clear at the top of the West Clubs' Women's League North Division after continuing their perfect start to the season with a 5-3 win at Old Bristolians.

Nina Emery shot Leominster ahead and Liz Ranft's lofted strike restored the advantage after Old Bristolians had levelled the scores.

Kate Holder and Emery set up Sarah Nightingale to add a third before half-time.

Bristolians, however, were far from finished and rallied to bring the scores back to 3-3.

But Holder combined with Emery who scored her second of the game before fine work by Karen Hackley set up Lisa Cheung for the final Leominster goal.

In Premier 2A, Hereford suffered a disappointment when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Cheltenham 2nd, despite Saskia Ingham's goal.

But Hereford 2nd gained their first win of the season in Severn 2 with a 5-2 success at Shipton Oliffe.

Lucy Debenham put Hereford ahead but Shipton hit back to lead before the visitors powered home as Kelly Higgins and Di Feely both scored twice, one of Feely's coming from a penalty flick.

In Severn 2, Ross were beaten 2-0 at home by Bretforton.

Presteigne came out on top 1-0 in the South Wales League Premier 2 border derby with Kington.

After a goalless first-half, Rita Tomkins settled the issue, pouncing to score after Lesley Phillips' short-corner strike was partially saved.

Sian Bull earned a fourth straight player-of-the-match award for Presteigne.
