HEREFORD notched their third win in four West Clubs' Women's League Premier 2A clashes when they travelled to City of Bath and came away with a 4-1 success.

Hereford are in third place in the table, just a point behind leaders Swindon.

Hereford 2nd, however, are still without a win after five Severn 1 matches and were beaten 2-1 at home by Cheltenham Civil Service.

Hereford dominated the first half and went ahead with a fine goal by player-of-the-match Megan Rivett, following up a strike by Dwyn Jones.

Cheltenham hit back, however, and snatched their win with a late goal.

In the same division, Colwall & Malvern leapfrogged Newent 2nd into sixth place with a 1-0 home win over their rivals.

Heidi Barlow had to make some good saves and Sammie Shail put in some strong tackles as Newent made a good start.

But Colwall & Malvern hit back and got the winner midway through the second half when Melinda Bennett sent Becky Lewis away to cross for Louise Kalogeras to convert at the far post.

In Severn 2, Ross got off the mark with a 3-0 win at Cirencester 3rd, their first success in three matches.

But Colwall & Malvern are still without a point in Severn 3 when they were beaten 4-0 at Bourton & Sherborne 3rd despite some fine saves from Jenny Parkes and promising performances from Chloe Williamson, Saffron Cresswell and Millie Cooke.
