A GOAL 10 minutes from time condemned Leominster to a 2-1 home defeat by Swindon in the Davis Wood League Conference North.

With three regulars missing, Leominster started slowly against well-matched opposition and fell behind after 15 minutes.

Leominster had their chances to equalise but had to wait until a minute after the restart to get back on level terms with Robbie Goodman finishing well after good work from Ed Healey.

Good defending from man of the match Barney Morgan helped to provide a solid platform for Leominster to push on and attack and they should have had a number of goals before Swindon claimed the points with a scrappy goal 10 mins from time.

Hereford's perfect start continued in De Cymru and Marches One with another glut of goals in an 11-0 win over visiting Penarth.

The city side were in front after only 23 seconds with a goal from Hamish Cameron and this was swiftly followed by a strike from Colin Amos.

Tom Clarke extended the lead before Stew Goodarzi took over the scoring mantle, adding a first-half hat-trick to take the score to 6-0 at half-time.

Amos scored again early in the second-half before Goodarzi bagged his fourth.

Andy Rogers rounded off a training ground move with further goals from Goodarzi and Will Stevens completing an excellent afternoon where the only downside was a late yellow card for Clarke.

In De Cymru and Marches 2, Ross are still seeking their first win of the season after a 4-2 home reverse against leaders Cardiff & Met 5th.

It was a difficult day, too, for both of the Herefordshire sides in Marches 1.

Hereford 2nd were beaten 4-0 at leaders Cheltenham 4th while Leominster 2nd also conceded four in a 4-1 reverse at Lydney 2nd, leaving both sides in mid-table with one win apiece after four matches.

In Marches 2, Ross 2nd remain at the foot of the table after a 4-1 defeat at Lansdown 4th.
