Cradoc Seniors were beaten 6-2 at Raglan Park when Dave Matthews and Anthony James (4 and 3) and Cyril Teasdale and Mike Mellors (1 up) were the winning pairs.

Steve Mathers and Ken Morgan (4 and 3) were the only winners when the Wayfarers went down 4-1 at Tredegar Park.

Cradoc ‘A’ will play Maesteg ‘A’ in the South Wales Seniors Classic at Clyne GC on August 17.

Ross Juniors continue to lead their section in the North Gloucestershire Combination League after an away win at South Herefordshire GC and a draw at Forest Hills.

The only defeat has come at the Forest of Dean GC where the juniors are coached by former Ross junior Alex Bain. Sophie Price is unbeaten in her first season in the squad.
