VICTORIA Watkins won the Hereford Times Cup for the best nett score at the Herefordshire County Championships at Sapey GC.
The 19-year-old, who lives near Ross and is studying sports science at Hartpury College, has been playing golf since she was six.
A hole-in-one on the 13th was not enough to bring Roz Eaton success in the Herefordshire GC ladies’ stableford.
Eaton had to be content with runners-up spot with her 30 points tally three behind winner Iris Corfield.

Brecon GC pairing Martin and Tracy Higgins won the nett competition at the Brecon and Radnor County Golf Union mixed foursomes chamoionship at their home club.
Their score of 68 was well clear of Steven and Anne Lloyd (Builth Wells GC) on 71.5 and third-placed Peris Hughes and Heather Hardy (Summerhill) on 77. Another Brecon pairing, Richard Keddle and Barbara Lewis shot 82 to take the gross competition with Brecon secretary Pat McCarthy and Yvonne Abbot in second with 88 and Andrew and Karen Oakley (Llandrindod Wells) third on 89.
Brecon and Radnor county men’s seniors were beaten 9-1 at Denbigh by a strong North Wales Counties team where Cradoc’s Derek Lloyd and Dave Eddon were the only winners in morning nine-hole foursomes.
