GREG Bridges and Gillian Sandell won the fifth round of the Leominster accumulator with 35 points on a countback from Carol Gardner and Mike Storr.
Pauline and Terry Webb finished third after firing 34 points.
Club champion Helen Palmer played superbly to clinch the Little Weston Shield at Ross-on-Wye.
Fifty-six players competed in the stroke-play event with Palmer firing a winning score of 79 gross, 73 nett.
Joyce Mackley secured second spot with a 104 gross, 74 nett, while Anne McArthur finished third with a 98 gross, 75 nett.
Sue Price carded 99-36-63 to win the April Medal at The Grove.
Mary Davies (103-32-71) took second place, while Bridgette Halpern (100-27-73) was third.
Rebecca Lloyd, with 34 points, triumphed in Division 1 of Burghill Valley’s April Stableford competition.
Vicky Howells was second with 32 points, while Rosie Cole finished third, also with 32 points.
Anne Price won Division 2 with 33 points, while Chris Higgins (32 points) was second and Jan du Cros finished third with 30 points.
Elizabeth Wood was the overall winner after carding 35 points in Division 3.
Second-place in Division 3 went to Gwen Lawrence-Brown (33 points), while Mel Foster secured third spot with 32 points.
Jean Brookes clinched the Wyevale Bowl with a return of 100-31-69.
Marilyn Howard took top spot in Division 1 after firing 90-17-73.
Elizabeth Williams (92-18-74) was second and Pauline Smith (95-20-75) finished third.
Ann Dixon shot 96-25-71 to triumph in Division 2 despite the efforts of second-placed Tina Lifely (99-27-72) and third-placed Glenda Sandford (94-21-73).
Brookes carried off the Division 3 title from second-placed Doreen Brown (101-30-71) and third-placed Elizabeth Wood (100-29-71).
Philippa Frost won the Silver division of a nine-hole event at Kington after carding 19 points.
Barbara Passey took the bronze division with 18 points, while Leominster’s Sylvia Lloyd won the visitors’ prize.
Sarah Parker has been elected as the new captain of the ladies’ section at Cradoc.
Parker takes over from Wendy Davies, who enjoyed her year at the helm.
Parker will be supported during the year in office by her vice-captain Jill Evans.
Jan Parry remains as the treasurer, while Lyn Price has taken over the quill from Anne Lees and Beverly Beck returns to the role of handicap secretary.
Hannah Jenkins, Sue Fair, Ronnie Cresswell, Alison Pinnegar and Marilyn Jones have been appointed as committee members.
However, Gill Badham was a notable absentee from the annual meeting and will be missed by members.
An inspiration to all at the club, she lost her battle against cancer in February.
Sue Mawby achieved first place in Division 1 in the Ladies’ April GU Medal at the Herefordshire.
Mawby topped the division on a countback from A Irwin after both players shot a 70.
M McGowan shot a 75 to win Division 2 from second-placed G Boase (76).
S Griffiths (70) triumphed in Division 3, while E Goodchild (72) finished in second position.
