ROSEMARY Cope, Sybil Prout, Rosie Cole and Marilyn Howard carded 62.13 points to win Burghill Valley’s Vixen Cup competition.
Ann Allen, Mandy Preece, Jean Brookes and Angela Morley finished second with 63.62 points.
Elizabeth Williams, Tilly Hare, Judy Hilton and Mavis Matthews were third with 63.87 points.
Doreen Pomroy and Graham Davies scored 41 points to take top spot at the Bader Mixed event at Herefordshire GC.
Gill Boase and David Thomas were the runners-up with 39 points.
Sue and Cliff Mawby secured third place, with 37 points, on a countback from Karen and Roger Darby.
The event, played in beautiful conditions, raised £160 for the Douglas Bader Foundation.
Sheila Lawrence achieved a gross 91 and nett 73 to win the Silver Division in opening medal of the season at Ross-on-Wye.
Kerry Welding finished second with a gross 88, nett 75.
Pam Grecar won the Bronze Division with a gross 109, nett 74, while Anne McArthur was second with a gross 98, nett 75.
Alison Harvey and Kerry Welding scored 37 points to win the club’s qualifying round for the regional Coronation Foursomes competition sponsored by Peugeot and LGU.
Lawrence finished second with Sheila Hatherall after they posted 35 points.
The best scoring 100 winners from the county will go forward to the regional finals.
Bridget Halpern secured first place in an 18-hole stableford at The Grove.
Halpern triumphed with 41 points and was closely followed by second-placed Alison Deardon, who scored 40 points.
Sue Price took third spot with 36 points.
Liz Moore and Greg Bridges triumphed in the John Morris Mixed Foursomes at Leominster.
The duo finished comfortably ahead of second-placed John Ford and Carol Gardner and third-placed Mark Lane and Jane Powles.
Result: 1 Liz Moore and Greg Bridges 37 points, 2 John Ford and Carol Gardner 32 points, 3 Mark Lane and Jane Powles 31 points.
Anita Dart fired 34 points to win the Silver Division in Kington’s opening competition of the year.
Kate Block, who also scored 34 points, had to settle for second place after a countback.
Barbara Radbourne secured third position with a 32-point haul.
Jean Williams won the Bronze Division with 37 points, while Enid Crowe was the runner-up with 29 points.
Priscilla Scott, who also hit 29 points, finished third.
Angela Wilkes (96-15-81) performed well in gale force winds to win the Silver Division of the April Medal.
Marion Weaver won the Bronze Division with 111-27-84, while Audrey Philpot was second after carding 111-24-87.
Jane George, with 33 points, was the winner of the Wooden Lady event at Sapey.
Brenda Clinton finished runner-up with a 30-point return.
Belmont chalked up a 4-2 win at Forest Hill in their first match of the season in the Wye Dean mixed league.
June Williams prevailed on a countback to win a 12-hole start-up stableford competition at Knighton.
Williams won the event on a countback from captain Denise Jones and Chris Jones.
All three players scored 20 points in a hotly-contested event which attracted 14 players.
Chris Jones and Ann Hobson have progressed through to the second round of the Daily Mail Foursomes.
A team of Gill Deakin, Sandra Hodnett, Chris Sutton, Sue Jones and Ann Hobson beat Llandrindod Wells in the Mail on Sunday event.
Denice Hobson has been chosen as the new lady captain and will be backed up by vice-captain Gill Deakin.
