TWO members of Belmont GC shone at the Shropshire and Herefordshire Alliance at Ludlow.
Richard Hemming, who is the club's golf director, won the competition after finishing on level par.
The club's professional, Kevin Davis, was the runner-up after finishing one over.
Hemming was the pro at the Herefordshire Golf Club for three years.
Prior to that, Hemming was assistant to his father, David, for 17 years at the Herefordshire club.
Edward Jones won the Hall of Fame competition at Leominster after firing 75-13-62.
Dave Botwood secured second place with 79-13-66, with Martin Davies (80-13-67) taking third place after a countback.
Leominster also won their first friendly of the season with a 4-2 home success against Sapey.
Jim Harvey and John Mann triumphed in a well-supported drive-in for Belmont's new captain Wref Digings.
Harvey and Mann won the stableford competition with a return of 50 points.
Gregg Morgan and Pete James finished in second place with 44 points.
Wayne Gwynne and Sean Bufton were third, also with 44 points.
Colin Rowan won the drive-in for new seniors' captain John Driscoll in a field of 40 members.
Rowan was first in the stableford event with 39 points.
John Driscoll was second with 38 points, while Paul Gosling was third with 36 points.
Ian Caves won the 0-14 section of the latest medal competition after firing 82-10-72.
Paul Gosling took second place with 82-10-72, while Terry Thomas was third with 82-10-72.
Paul Gimlik was the winner of the 15-28 section after a return of 91-21-70.
Brian Goode (89-18-71) was second, while Colin Rowan was third with 95-19-76.
Geoff and Sandie Foster, with 36 points, triumphed in the Wyedean Celebration Day.
Eric Mayers and Jan Armstrong were the runners-up with 35 points.
Mike Williams and Jennifer Gladwyn were third with 34 points.
John Freeman shot a sparkling nett 66 to take top spot in Division 1 of Burghill Seniors' March Medal.

Brian Vaughan scored the lowest gross with 81 strokes.
Division 2: 1 Arnie Moreley 93-23-70, 2 Les Amos 99-76-23, 3 Mike Symonds 100-27-73.
Mike Morgan won the low handicap section of Herefordshire GC's latest seniors' stableford competition with 43 points.
Ian McIntosh took second place with 41 points, while Kevin Bayliss was third with 38 points.
David Halpern was the winner of the high handicap category with 44 points.
Bill Mundell (41 points) was second, with Dennis Brown securing third spot with 40 points.
Ken Baker and Martin Shaxted are through to the final of the Winter League where they will meet Lee Ferneyhough and Steve Radziejowski.
David Whyke carded 34 points to win the Kington Blueball day out at Worfield near Bridgnorth.
Ray Ingram finished second on a countback with 32 points, while Mike Waygood was third after he also carded 32 points.
Tracy Sandford, Ray Ingram and Gerry Griffiths scooped the team prize with 74 points.
Graham Priday, Ron Davies-Jones, and Joe James took second spot with 71 points.
Third-place went to club professional, Andy Gealy, club captain Stan Arnold and Ian Cox, who carded 68 points.
Terry Inskip overcame the wintry conditions to win Division 1 in the latest event in the Seniors' Winter League.
Inskip took top spot with a useful 39 points, while Joe James was second with a 34-point return.
Rob Davies-Jones finished in third place with 33 points.
Bill Didcock was the winner of Division 2 with 30 points.
George Farr secured the runners-up spot with 29 points, while Craig Mayo was third with 27 points.
Richard Manning clinched the top prize in the March stableford of the Kingstone High School Golf Society.
Manning secured the top spot after firing 21 points in blustery conditions.
Ben Kennedy was the Division 1 winner with 19 points, while John Preece won the Division 2 section on a countback from Dave Worthing.
Mark Addis, with 18 points, won Division 3 and Aaron Nottingham claimed the novice prize with 19 points.
