BURGHILL Golf Club have been named the Most Innovative Club for the second year running at The Club Mirror Awards.
The club based near Hereford has undergone a refurbishment in recent years and also welcomes non golfers as well as having a busy restaurant open to all members of the public.
As part of the award club officials were asked about the ‘customer experience’ and how they were different to other clubs and their work within the community with schools and colleges.
They received the award at an event held at Doncaster Racecourse in November.
Burghill Golf Club were also nominated at The England Golf Awards in the categories of Most Welcoming Club and Club of the Year, our first year if entering. This event was held at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Nick Pink, Chief Executive of England Golf said: “We’ve got so much to be proud of – our finalists and winners are amazing and their stories deserve to be told far beyond the golf community. And, behind them is a whole army of volunteers, coaches, clubs and counties who are also making a huge difference.
“We have an enormously exciting future ahead, with lots going on to change the image of the game. By working together we can build on all our achievements and spread the message that golf really is a game for all, with huge benefits for everyone.”
