BURGHILL Valley Golf Club have joined forces with charted accountants Thorne Widgery to offer people women coaching tips.

The event is half-way into a six week programme, with each session coasting £7 and £2 being donated to the Little Princess Trust.

At the end of the six-week sessions, the total will be matched by Thorne Widgery.

Diane Sheldon, sales and marketing manager at Thorne Widgery, said that, as a business, they like to be different, proactive and fun.

"By setting up this group it was offering a different way to meet new people, make new friends, have fun learning a new skill in golf and maybe make some new business opportunities for everyone attending," she said,

Jo Edgley, marketing manager at Burghill Valley, added that golf has been proven to have many health benefits, including being good for your heart, improving muscle tone and endurance. "Golf provides a stimulating mental challenge combined with a healthy walk in pleasant surroundings and can be played by all abilities and ages," she said.

It is hoped that a new set of starters will commence in September.
