HEREFORDSHIRE Golf Club held their Presentation evening where junior members took some of the main trophies.

Eleven-year-old junior Morgan Radziejowski, playing off a handicap of 14, won four of the major men's nett trophies.

He carried off the Mackie trophy 36 hole competition, The Coronation Cup, Crawford Cup and The Pleasance & Harper Cup.

Club Captain Ken Baker presented the J P Golf Trophy to junior girl Ellie Watters while Michael Bayliss won the Lee Cup for the champion of champions, The Holmer Cup and The Queen Elizabeth Cup.

Ladies Results 13 Hole Stableford, Division 1: 1 Marie Parry 28 pts, 2 Bet Hinchliffe 26; Division 2: 1 Jenny Cooke 30 pts, 2 Pam Williams 27; Division 3: 1 Eileen Jones 25 pts, 2 Bridget Wood 24.

Herefordshire seniors have continued their varied spring programme with the first medal competition of the year. While 16 players were away on match duty, the competition still attracted a field of 44 players.

The best score of the day went to Clive James. Playing in the higher handicap division, James scored a net 64 playing off a handicap of 21. Second place went to Greg Brunt, playing off 23, who just edged out Nigel Yarwood, playing off 20, on count back with both players carding a net score of 66.

In the lower handicap division, first place went to Ken Wright. Playing off a handicap of 13, Wright just managed to beat Alan Picton, playing off 17, on count back with both players carding a net score of 66. Des Keohane claimed third place with a net score of 68, playing off 16.

Herefordshire seniors have continued their varied spring programme with a pairs better ball stableford competition using ¾ handicaps. The competition was enjoyed by 68 players in perfect weather conditions for the time of year and with the course in excellent condition resulting in 10 combined scores of 40 plus points.

First place went to Kevin Baylis and Gary Duncalf with 46 points. Greg Brunt and Paul Gosling just edged out Dave Evans and Colin Dean for second spot on count back with both pairs carding 41 points. Fourth place was also decided on count back with John Hodgetts and Jeff Burkin scoring 40 points but with a better back 9 than 6 other pairs.
