HEREFORDSHIRE GC, seniors' section moved into the final month of their winter trophy stableford programme with a competition which attracted a field of 50 players. Excellent scores were recorded in spite of the wet conditions underfoot.

The best score of the day and of the winter season so far went to Bill Sisley in the higher handicap division. He carded 47 points, playing off a handicap of 20. Robert Archer followed up his win last week with another good card to claim second place. Playing off a handicap of 22, he carded 43 points just edging Greg Brunt, playing off 23, into third place on count back.

In the lower handicap division Phil Manns again produced an outstanding round to claim first place. Playing off a handicap of 12 he carded 45 points. Seniors captain Chris Harrison, playing off 15, scored 44 points for second place with Peter Timms, playing off 17, carding 43 points for third place.
