HEREFORDSHIRE Golf Club have won the Wyedean league for the third time.

The competition, which sees teams playing mixed greensome matches home and away, also features Cradoc who finished second, Raglan Parc, Lydney and Forest Hills.

Ross GC ladies' section played their annual pre-Christmas lunch nine-hole competition after which captain Nesta Hirst was able to present the top prize to winners Mary Royston and Pam Duke, who compiled an impressive 26 points.

The back nine winners were Penny Caves and Annette Mansie with 21 points.
