SEVENTEEN-year-old Harry Butler and his grandad Barry Robbins teamed up to win the Eddie Hodges four ball better ball medal at Ross GC.

Their fine nett 60 score, in which Butler with 70 gross and 65 nett contributed a starring role, made them clear winners of the competition.

Butler was the Ross Junior Captain in 2012 and his successor Niall Powell, aged 16, also enjoyed a memorable victory, winning the Gloucestershire Golfing Union annual under-16 county championships at Bell’s Golf Club in Coleford.
