WESTFIELDS chief executive Andy Morris says his team will respect Hereford Lads Club when the sides clash tonight in the semi-finals of the HFA County Challenge Cup.

Fields go into the game as overwhelming favourites, but Lads Club have only lost once this season and are top of West Midlands (Regional) League Division One.

“It’s a local derby that both teams want to win because the final is against Hereford FC," said Morris.

“We will show Lads Club the respect they deserve.

"They’ve been doing well in their league and they’ve won 21 out of 22 games this season so it will be tough.”

Westfields have been in poor form recently while Lads club boast the perfect away record this season having won all of their 11 games.

“They have a great away record, but we’re only a walk over Widemarsh Common,” added Morris.

"They’ve got some good players.

"We know what Zac Sirrell can do and their striker [Dan] Herbert has scored a lot of goals this season.”

Westfields had to relinquish the trophy last season following a 5-1 losss against Hereford and Morris wants to exact revenge.

“I would love us to get to the final as I feel we owe Hereford one," said Morris.

Admission for the match at allpay.park is £7 adults, £5 concessions and £1 for young children.

Kick-off is £7.45pm.
