WESTFIELDS' aspirations to get promoted from the Midland Football League Premier Division have taken a serious knock following defeat at Heanor Town yesterday.

Two Chris Ham goals looked to have sealed a vital three points for Sean Edwards' side.

But Heanor hit back to win 4-2, meaning Westfields have it all to do to finish top of the pile.

And with Lye Town, who are in second place, also losing at Long Eaton United, yesterday's defeat is all the more heartbreaking for Westfields.

Ham opened the scoring for Westfields with a header in the 13th minute, but Heanor equalised with a Nathan Benger penalty shortly after the break.

But Westfields hit back immediately thanks to another Ham goal before the home side made it 2-2 with a Jack Warner effort with 10 minutes to go.

Jay Cooper then put Heanor ahead for the first time before he scored again to seal the win.
