NEW signings Jamie Molyneux and Mark Magee were both on target for Westfields on Saturday as Sean Edwards' team beta AFC Wulfrunians 3-1 in the Total Motion Midland Football League Premier Division.
Westfields looked lively from the start and, with Craig Jones operating well in midfield, the front line began to work effectively.
Matt Sysum went close to breaking the deadlock with a header before Tom Ray deflected a Molyneux shot into his own goal.
Wulfrunians hit back strongly after the break and Keiron Blackburn did well to prevent an equaliser.
But Westfields increased their lead on the stroke of half-time when Magee gobbled up the rebound after a Phil Glover header was saved.
Wulfrunians pulled a goal back from the penalty spot after the break, but Westfields sealed the win thanks to a curling effort from Molyneux.
Westfields face a tough ask tomorrow night at Bromsgrove Sporting, but go into the game in confident mood.
