JAMIE Cuss came off the bench for Westfields as Sean Edwards' side beat Loughborough University 2-1 in Midland Football League Premier Division.

Cuss has joined Westfields on a dual registration deal from Hereford as he looks to get some game time following his serious injury.

The striker played many years at allpay.park before making the switch to Hereford last season.

However, his campaign was brought to a halt last September when he picked up a serious knee injury during an FA Cup game at Romulus.

He later joined Pegasus Juniors on loan, but aggravated his injury.

Following an operation, Cuss made his return to the Hereford side during a HFA County Challenge Cup match against Tenbury United earlier this season before linking up with Kington Town to gte some more games under his belt.

Cuss came on in the 77th minute today.

Westfields opened the lead through Craig Jones in the fourth minute before Ben Hayes doubled the advantage seven minutes before half time.

Cameron Gordon pulled a goal back for Loughborough in the 70th minute, but Westfields held on for the win.

Westfields are again home on Boxing Day when they entertain Shawbury United.
