A TOUGH trip to fellow Midland Football League Premier Division outfit AFC Wulfrunians is now in store for Westfields after Sean Edwards' side started their FA Cup journey with a comfortable win over Bewdley Town.

The game produced an exciting two, but Westfields' clinical finishing edged it.

Both goalkeepers were in early action but it was Matt Sysum, Westfields’ new signing from Southern League South & West side North Leigh, who put them ahead in the 32nd minute when he rifled home from eight yards out.

Westfields then gave themselves some breathing space after the break when Alex Hainault rifled home a shot after being neatly set up by Richard Greaves,

Bewdley came back into the game and Keiron Blackburn produced a flying save at the foot of the post, before Westfields substitutes Sam Gwynne, Carlos Moreira and Lewis Platt injected some further pace.

It was Moreira who fired home the third goal when, after his first shot was blocked, the ball rebounded to the youngster who rifled it into the roof of the net.

Bewdley did net a late consolation through Lewis Pountney, but it will be Westfields who will face AFC Wulfrunians on August 19.

Wellington, meanwhile, crashed out of the FA Cup at the first stage following a crushing 6-2 reverse at Midland League outfit Coleshill Town.

Gary Stevens' side had no answer to their opponents, who raced into a 2-0 lead inside 17 minutes thanks to Joe Halsall and Dean Rathbone.

Rob Evans made it 3-0 shortly after the break before Paul Jones pulled a goal back.

But back came Coleshill, who scored again through Matt Gardiner before Reece Leek added two more goals for the Staffordshire side.

Wellington scored again through Jack Lewis, but the damage had already been done.
