HEREFORD loanee Tyrone Duffus was delighted to score twice on his debut as the Bulls hammered Hitchin Town 5-0.

Duffus hasn't even trained with the club prior to Saturday's game against Hitchin Town, but he looked at ease and was named the sponsors' man-of-the-match.

"I thought the lads did well and it was a good scoreline and a clean sheet," said Duffus.

"For the first goal, I got told to go to the front post and the ball just landed to me and I managed to get on the end of it.

"Then for the second goal, it was a good team goal, it got squared to me and it was an open goal – I couldn't really miss."

The central midfielder is with Hereford until January and played for Cardiff Under-23s in a pre-season friendly at Edgar Street in the summer.

Duffus said he is happy that he will get the opportunity to get some minutes under his belt at Hereford.

"I knew they had a good fan base and is a good club that should be in a higher league than they are," he said.

"But they're pushing for that now and I was excited to come here because it's a good club and they play well.

"I want to just get some minutes in and play first team football and do as well as I can really.

"I'm just looking forward to the month ahead."

Hereford manager Pete Beadle said he has known Duffus for quite a while now.

"This is a great opportunity for him to play on the stage he's on at the moment with what he is doing at Cardiff," said Beadle.
