HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle says that opposing teams need to take care of their pitches to avoid an 'out of control' fixture list.

The Bulls players had taken half-a-day off work on Monday to travel to Hitchin Town before being told an hour before they departed that the game was postponed and subsequently re-scheduled for Thursday.

Beadle's side now face three away trips in five days and could be crowed Evo-Stik Southern Premier Champions at Bishop's Stortford on Saturday if results go their way.

"It's out of control to some degree and clubs need to take responsibility for their pitches although the weather has been bad," said Beadle.

"A lot of games have been called off with the slightest bit of rain and we need to try and get games on. People will say that we have got a ground and money coming in but a section of our budget is looking after the pitch.

"(The run of games) It's one of those things and we need to get the job done. The players are all available tomorrow and will re-asses after the game, it will be a case of managing the team physically and mentally.

"It's in our hands and is exactly how we want it to be."
