THE Hereford FC Academy under-12 side have reached the semi-final of the Junior Premier League Cup following a 2-0 victory over Grantham Town.

Two second half goals gave Hereford FC U12’s victory in a tight, competitive and breathless Junior Premier League Cup quarter-final away match against Grantham Town FC on Saturday morning.

Coach Ben Archer said: “I was really pleased for the boys, you could see how much it meant to them, they were buzzing before the game and produced a performance to be proud of.

“Since I have coached this team the players have done everything I have asked of them, we know we have a good team but also knew this would be a tough game, every player contributed and played well, I have nothing but positives to say about this squad.

“The hard work and discipline they showed when we were under pressure was rewarded by their clever attacking play and goals. I just hope it continues.”

The draw for the semi-finals is due to take place this week. Alongside the young Bulls in the draw are AFC Bournemouth, Cirencester, and North Somerset.
