HEREFORD have been knocked back twice in their search to sign a new left back.

Manager Pete Beadle says he doesn't think the deal is dead just yet and the Bulls will need to see whether to go back for a third offer.

“We’ve identified several targets and we made an offer to one club on Tuesday which got rejected," said Beadle, as reported on Hereford's official website.

“We went back and made a second offer on Wednesday, but again that was rejected, so we need to decide whether to make a third offer or whether we move on.

“Personally, I don’t think the deal is dead in the water yet, but the player is under contract so we need to do some work to reach an agreement to talk to the player.

"We’d love to get it done before the weekend.”

Another option is to bring in a player on loan.

“We’ve got an agreement that we can bring in a left back on loan, but that probably won’t happen until after the weekend," added Beadle.

“We’ve got to be patient, but at the same time, we can’t wait too long, we’ll leave it over the weekend and see where we are.”

Hereford are back in league action tomorrow when they host Kings Langley.

Pablo Haysham and Keyon Reffell should be available following knocks, but Garyn Preen and Calvin Dinsley remain injured.
