LADS Club loanee Brad Williams says he is enjoying playing football again after being involved in a serious accident.

The midfielder, who has joined on a dual registration deal from Hereford FC, spent a week in hospital after sustaining a small bleed on his brain.

"I was on my way to work and was hit head on," explained Williams.

"I had a small bleed on my brain so you've got to be careful with things like that and it led it me missing the whole of pre-season.

"I was in hospital for a week getting monitored, but things happen and it was an accident.

"I'm happy to be playing football again and hopefully I can carry on.

"I thought I may lose a bit of confidence when heading but I've put it behind me and I don't really think about it to be honest.

"I missed pre-season but it happens in football and you've got to get the games in where you can.

"Hereford doesn't have a reserve team, so you've got to come to places like this and get the fitness in your legs.

"I'm now at Lads Club trying to get some game time.

"Hopefully I can then go back to Hereford sharp and fit."

Williams spent a month at Hereford United during the ill-fated 2014/15 campaign when many fans were boycotting the club.

However, he said Edgar Street is now a totally different place.

"When I was at Cardiff, I wanted first team experience because I was a young lad and, being local, I wanted to come to Hereford," said Williams.

"I came for a month, but there was a bit of confusion with my international clearance which led to me missing a few games.

"It was a totally different experience to what it is now.

"When I was there, the ground was half empty and the place was a dump.

"It wasn't as clean and tidy as it is now or with as many staff.

"The fans pack out Edgar Street every week now which is good to see."

Williams has played two games for Lads Club this week, including a 5-2 home loss to Stone Old Alleynians that knocked them out of the FA Vase,

"I'm just concentrating on getting games and I don't really care where I play at the moment," said Williams.

"I think it's just vital for me to get my fitness in.

"After a loss or two, it's important you react well and we will be looking to do that."
