HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle says he is unsure which team he will pick for this Saturday's final friendly match against Stourbridge as the league season approaches.

The Bulls are expected to have a number of players back available, with only Rob Purdie and Mike McGrath set to miss out.

"Do I go with the team that I think will start the first league game or pick players that need more game time who are just coming back from injuries?" asked Beadle.

"Stourbridge did very well last year, so it's going to be a tough game."

Beadle says he has been pleased with how pre-season has gone, especially how the new players have bedded in.

"Keyon [Reffell] and Garyn [Preen] have both looked bright, although it took Garyn a couple of games to get going, but that happens when you come to a new club," said Beadle.

"We knew James Bowen from before so knew what he could so and Lance [Smith] has also done great."

Beadle added that he's not actively looking for new players and the club's current budget means a player would probably have to leave if someone came in.

The winner of this Saturday's match will receive the HFA Senior Invitational Cup, but the tie will not be classed as a competitive fixture.

Therefore, Ryan Green will be available for selection before sitting out his final game of a three-game suspension for the first league match at Kings Langley.
