TEENAGER Greg Preece says he will be aiming to get as much senior experience under his belt this season in order to impress Hereford manager Pete Beadle.
The striker has linked up with Pegasus Juniors in pre-season and played in last Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Slimbridge.
"I have been training with the Hereford first team, but physically and technically, they're above me," said Preece.
"But it feels like I'm developing a lot just by playing with them and being around the squad.
"I'm training twice a week on Tuesday sand Thursdays with the first team and then on Saturdays I will be playing for Pegasus.
"It has gone quite well but we've struggled in the results.
"But I will try and aim to get a few games at Hereford, maybe towards the end of the season."
Pegasus have predominately young team and are captained by Kyle Panniers.
The skipper said the aim for this season is to develop the youngsters.
"We've had a lot of the young boys in and it's a good experience for them," said Panniers.
"We're trying to use these games so they can get some experience for the league and build for the future.
"A few of these boys wouldn't have played in this league, although a few of the Hereford boys would have played a little bit.
"So it will be different experience for them.
"We're trying to set the foundations and build year on year.
"It's not going to be a one-season thing, it will be a long term project."
