WHO will be staying and who will be going at Edgar Street is set to be announced next week.

Hereford manager Pete Beadle has confirmed he will meet players next Tuesday and Thursday to let them know their fate.

"A lot comes down to the player and how valuable we think he is to us," said Beadle.

"I'm sure the supporters will have their own opinion but I'm the one sat in the job and it's up to me to make the decisions I think is right for the club.

"Contracts are giving out willy nilly and some have to be honoured no matter what.

"So we need to be careful how we manage that.

"In the Midland League, we started getting interest around Pablo [Haysham] and John [Mills], so we decided the best thing to do was to get them on contract because we didn't want to lose them.

"This year, we felt we needed some players who we felt would make us stronger and they wanted contracts.

"But it all changes now and the next level is when it gets really serious.

"We've now reached the point where we will be looking at different types of players with one or two different characteristics and maybe we won't be reliant on the ones we were before.

"That's not to say we don't want them here, but things might change.

"It all depends on how we value those players and if the ones we want to bring in want contracts.

"We know it will be a much bigger step and there will be more travelling to do, so the players will need to be more focused and professional in the way they prepare for games.

"The squad is healthy and good, but we do need to bring one or two in and change things a little bit."

Meanwhile, Beadle confirmed that seven pre-season friendlies have been pencilled in.

"Everything has been agreed verbally and 50 to 60 per cent have been confirmed in writing, so we're just waiting for the last couple," he said.
