HEREFORD FC midfielder Jamie Edge says every player will want to impress manager Pete Beadle until the end of season to ensure they are at the club next season.

Edge has had to bide his time this season, with Rob Purdie and Mike McGrath Bulls manager Peter Beadle's preferred midfield partnership.

Calvin Dinsley has also come on board with Beadle admitting he had next season in mind when he signed him.

"I've had a little spell off the pitch, which is of course frustrating, but the boys have been doing really well, so you've just got to be patient and keep your head up," said Edge.

"I was delighted to come on yesterday and help the boys get the result.

"All the players want to be here next year.

"It's no added pressure, but it is an incentive to work harder and finish the season off well.

"We've still got loads to play for and everybody is playing for next season."

Edge added that Wantage made it difficult for Hereford, but the Bulls players showed great character to come from behind to win 3-2.

"They played deep, but we got the win and we showed a lot of character," said Edge.

"The gaffer spoke to us in training and set out his intentions that he wants to win every game until the end of the season.

"We were well up for the game and were focused, but I think at times it didn't come off for us.

"The two goals we conceded were sloppy, but we bounced back well and got the win."
