HOLME Lacy are gearing up for the biggest game in their 105 year history when they face Hereford FC at Edgar Street in the quarter-final of the HFA County Challenge Cup tonight.

The villagers play in the HFA County Premier Division and manager Chris Ferriday is under no illusions about the huge task facing his side.

"Tactically we will have to adjust and the difference in ability and fitness levels will obviously be huge, but as has been proven with the FA Cup, you never know what can happen," said Ferriday.

"We just want to do ourselves justice."

Ferriday said it will be a massive occasion to grace Edgar Street.

"It's huge for us and everyone is looking forward to it," he said.

"Everyone wants to play Hereford and it will be a great experience for the players.

"I am sure they will play a lot of young players, with maybe one or two older ones who need some game time, but whatever team they put out, it will be a massive test for us.

"It will be a cold evening under lights and I just want everyone to enjoy it because you rarely get opportunities like this."
