HEREFORD FC winger Tristan Plummer believes he is getting better with every game.

The former Bristol City and Hereford United player admitted that he struggled during his first couple of games due to not having much of a preseason, but has improved in recent matches.

"In the first few games, I struggled a bit, but as the games go on, I think the lads have got used to me," said Plummer, who has scored two goals in his last two games for Hereford.

"They know what to expect from me.

"I just get the ball out wide and cross balls in and to try and create chances."

Hereford are four points clear at the top of Southern Football League Division One South & West following a 3-0 home win against Slimbridge on Tuesday night.

The Bulls were 2-0 up after 16 minutes due to two quick-fire goals from John Mills, before Plummer sealed the win in the 74th minute.

Hereford manager Pete Beadle admits it is frustrating that his side haven't been killing teams off earlier than they have been.

And Plummer agreed that may be the players relaxed at times during Tuesday's match.

"I think we took our foot off a bit and sort of relaxed," said Plummer.

"I think at times, we could be a bit more ruthless, but I think that will come in the next couple of games.

"It will be good to kill off teams in the first half because then it's done and dusted, but it will come.

"But we got the result in the end and won, which is the most important thing."
