HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle says "someone is going to get a a proper hammering" if the Bulls start converting more of their chances.

Beadle's men beat Romulus 3-0 in their FA Cup First Qualifying Round replay on Tuesday night, but it could easily have been more considering the number of opportunities Hereford had in the game.

"Someone is going to get a thrashing, a proper sound hammering if we can start putting away one or two of those chances away," said Beadle.

"We won 3-0, but again it should’ve been five, six, seven maybe with the clear cut chances we had.

"Pablo [Haysham] has had one, John [Mills[ had one just before half time.

"Second half, the chances we had in the box, balls were flying across the goal, there's nobody there to tap it in, so we've got to stop doing it."

The match was delayed by 30 minutes due to the Romulus team bus being stuck in traffic on the M50.

However, it was the away side who had the first opportunity of the game when Liam Hailey went close with a header following a mistake from Rob Purdie.

"They'd been on a bus journey and got here late and they've come out but you would have thought it was us who didn't really start right with that one with Rob," added Beadle.

"But the players make mistakes you can't atone for them, you've just got to get on with it.

"But fortunately Alex [Harris] did what he was paid to do and he made a great save.

"It can be disruptive at times because obviously we're trying to prepare for the game and you want to make sure you are ready so that when the game starts you're at full tilt, but obviously we had to delay it and then start again, we were umming and aahing.

"But I thought we've been spot on, our performance was really good, much improved from Saturday."

Hereford opened the scoring when Tristan Plummer fired home an unstoppable shot shortly before half time.

Mills doubled the advantage two minutes after the break after a long ball sent him clear, with a deflected Jamie Edge shot in stoppage time sealing the win.

Hereford are away at Winchester City in the league this Saturday.

Jamie Cuss is due to have a scan to see how serious his knee injury iss, while Pablo Haysham is suspended following his sending off last Saturday.

Jamie Willets and Chris Barker were also unavailable on Tuesday after sustaining knocks.
