A MAN who has played for both Hereford and Morpeth believes the Bulls will edge this Sunday's FA Vase Final.
Trevor Benjamin was a crowd favourite at Edgar Street and was part of the Hereford United team that got promoted to League One in 2008.
He later played and managed Morpeth Town and still lives in the Northumberland town.
"I think Hereford will nick it in the final," said Benjamin, who now helps run a football equipment business that sells kits and goalkeeper gloves.
"Morpeth have got a few ex-professionals playing for them and their midfield looks strong, but it will come down to who makes the fewer mistakes.
"A lot of the Morpeth team is different to when I was there and there wasn't a budget or anything like that.
"It has always been the chairman's ambition to get to the Vase Final and it should be a good game."
Benajmin, who knows Rob Purdie from his Leicester City days, says he is delighted with how Hereford FC have done this season.
"I am over the moon and chuffed that the club has bounced back and got promoted.
"It has always been a family club and for Hereford to achieve what they have in their first year is fantastic."
