WESTFIELDS chairman John Morgan says the club are "still a bit unhappy" that today's HFA County Challenge Cup final is at Edgar Street.

The allpay.park side will face Hereford FC, with a kick-off 3pm.

It was voted at the start of the season that the final will be at Edgar Street irrespective of whether Hereford got there or not.

But Morgan, who confirmed that Westfields voted against the idea, believes the Bulls have a big advantage.

“It should be at a neutral venue, all at least have some concession in place, for example away goals counting double to add a bit of spice,” said Morgan.

“It’s a big advantage for them, but I think the Hereford fans will be a bit tentative because if any of their players pick up a red card, they are likely to miss Wembley, so they’ll be a bit nervous with their tackling.

“But we are looking forward to the game and hopefully we will get the right result.”

Westfields goalkeeper Matt Gwynne also wants to show Hereford that his side are no pushovers.

“I think we will have a strong side, as long as we don’t pick anything up until then,” said Gwynne.

“We want to go there with our strongest side possible, because it’s going to be a hard one for us.”

“We just want to go there and show that we’re no pushover.”

Westfields have won the competition for the past five years, but Hereford are hot favourites and are on course to win four trophies this season.

“I congratulate Hereford on winning the league, but before the season started, we said it would be a difficult league to get out of and it’s taken them 41 games to achieve it,” added Morgan.

Westfields have won the competition for the past five years, but Hereford are hot favourites going into the game.

The Bulls are going to four trophies and will complete a league and cup double with a win today.

Hereford captain Joel Edwards believes it will be a competitive game.

"It's a derby, they will be up for it, they always are," said Edwards.

"They have won it for the last few years, when I was with them and they will definitely be up for it, but we will too and it will be a good battle."
