HEREFORD FC have one hand on the Midland Football League Premier Division trophy after a 2-0 win at Quorn today took them 10 points clear at the top. The Bulls can win the title in the next nine days. We take a look how they can do it here.

SATURDAY, APRIL 23

Hereford can win it at Edgar Street next Saturday against Heanor Town, although that is unlikely.

For that to happen, Hereford have to beat Sporting Khalsa on Tuesday and Heanor next Saturday and hope Alvechurch lose to either Brocton or Bardon Hill - both of which are at home.

The title will also be Hereford's if Alvechurch draw both matches and, realistically even if Ian Long's side gain four points in the two matches, given Hereford's vastly superior goal difference.

As long as Hereford win both of their matches, that is.

MONDAY, APRIL 25

This is the likely scenario. Hereford go to Coventry Sphinx that night.

If Hereford win their next two games (Sporting Khalsa on Tuesday and Heanor next Saturday), they will be champions at Coventry with a victory, regardless what Alvechurch do in the next week.

Alvechurch have two games in hand of Hereford and can take the race into the last game of the season if they do their bit and the Bulls drop enough points.

The Midland League have said promotion has to be sorted by May 4, but with Alvechurch's game at Sporting Khalsa being postponed today, it is unclear when the rearranged match will be.

Alvechurch are in action this Tuesday and Khalsa face Rushall Olympic in the Walsall Senior Cup on Thursday.

The following week sees Alvechurch host Khalsa on the Tuesday (April 26) before a rearranged game against Long Eaton on the Thursday (April 28).

As it stands, their last game of the season is against Coleshill on April 30, while Hereford go to Shepshed Dynamo.
