HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle admitted his side weren't clinical enough yesterday after the Bulls' remarkable winning run came to an end at home to Alvechurch.

Despite Ryan Green opening the scoring after six minutes, Hereford struggled to get a second goal and Alvechurch equalised through a Nick Wright break-away strike 10 minutes into the second half.

John Mills and Mustapha Bundu both tested Alvechurch goalkeeper Matt Sargeant, but the away side worked hard and, in the end, did enough to earn a point.

"We have been very fortunate recently that the lads have been very clinical and scoring goals, but it eluded us a little bit and we go in to the next game," said Beadle.

"It's been a phenomenal run, but looking it at another way, it's 29 games undefeated, so we just have to keep going.

"It wasn't vintage and we didn't create a huge amount, but you credit them with what they did.

"But we didn't get beat and no one was going to win a trophy on the day."

Beadle felt it was a well-contested game.

"It were two good teams who went at it, which was full-bloodied and played in the right manner and may be a draw was a fair result in the end.

"It was a great start from us, but may be we could have done with a second goal before half-time just to see how the game would change in the second half.

"But we didn't get it and they got the goal early in the second half, which got their tails up.

"But it was a good game, with plenty of blood and guts, we just weren't quite clinical enough in the final third."
