EXPERIENCED Hereford FC defender Ryan Green said it would be fantastic if the Bulls played at Wembley in the FA Vase final.

Green played at the National Stadium in 2007 when he was part of a Bristol Rovers side that beat Shrewsbury Town in the League Two play-off final.

"To play at Wembley again would be fantastic, I've played there once before, but I think, for a lot of the other lads, it will be their first time," said Green.

"It will be fantastic for the club and all the players."

Green has been a rock in defence since joining Hereford in September and has been one of the reasons why the Bulls are on such an amazing run.

But the 34-year-old said every player can be pleased with the how they have performed this season.

"It's not just myself though, it's everyone who have put a great shift in," said Green.

Hereford beat Leicester Nirvana 6-0 yesterday in the fourth round of the FA Vase.

But Green said the scoreline could easily have been higher.

"Their front four was probably the best we have come across this season, and I thought we did a good job against them," said Green.

"All the lads put a big shift in and it could have been double figures because we could have scored 10 or 12.

"Jimmy [Oates] was man-of-the-match, which was fully deserved because he's been fantastic all season.

"Everyone, from goalkeeper [Martin Horsell] to the big man up top [Mike Symons], were fantastic.

"I thought all the lads were at it this week because, last week, we had to sort out a few things in training, which worked very well."

Hereford will travel to Hartley Wintney in the fifth round of the Vase.

The Hampshire side are top of the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division and beat Merthyr Town 1-0 away from home in this season's FA Cup.

Green played for Merthyr prior to returning to Edgar Street.

"Merthyr are a great team, so they must be decent," said Green.

"I'm sure we'll take a good following there."

"I'm not sure what the pitch is like, but if it's not great, then we'll just battle it out."
