HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle says he won't forgive players who don't put the effort in.

Beadle was talking after his side thumped Leicester Nirvana 6-0 win in the fourth round of the FA Vase.

The Bulls are through to the last 16 of the competition and have won their last 27 games in all competitions.

John Mills and Mike Symons led the way with two goals each, with Aaron Birch and Ross Staley, on his debut, also getting in amongst the goals.

The attendance was 2,842, which surprised Beadle, especially as the match came on the back of the initial tie being abandoned last week.

"They were again in full voice and one thing they can be assured of is that the players don't lack effort and they wear the shirt with pride," said Beadle.

"I will forgive bad games, but what I won't stand for is players that don't put the effort in or work hard, because you don't have to be a good player to do that.

"I think the supporters can see that the players really enjoy playing here and love the club and wearing the shirt.

"Some weeks we don't have vintage performances or fantastic displays, but they work hard every single week and when we don't, like at Wulfrunians [earlier this month] it becomes difficult.

"But they've learnt that lesson, hopefully."

Beadle was delighted with yesterday's win, but felt sorry for Leicester Nirvana.

"As performances go, that's probably as complete as we have had so far this season," said Beadle.

"I thought we showed great discipline to keep them out.

"The scoreline is what it is, and for us that's a bonus, but they're a good side and I'll be extremely surprised if they don't win their league by a country mile.

"I think we'll find it difficult coming up against a front four like that, with the players they've got.

"I feel for them, because 6-0 is a thumping, but as a performance, it was perfect and a clean sheet was nice as well.

"We tried to second guess what they were trying to do after playing them last week, and we thought they weren't going to change much.

"I think, at the start of the game, their wing-backs sat a little bit deeper than they did in the first game to try and nullify our wide men, but I think, at 2-0, they tried to throw caution to the wind and open up.

"But that's when we're at our best and, second half, we were fantastic."
