THIS week's View from Edgar Street is by Jane Griffiths, Junior Bulls Supporters Club co-ordinator.

THE possibility of a re-launch of the Junior Bulls Supporters Club this time last year probably wouldn't have been on anyone's mind but with the amazing comeback the club has made this season I'm pleased to say that we are now in the process of doing exactly that.

At the start of the season, I volunteered as a matchday programme seller.

It wasn't long into the season that I noticed how many youngsters and families were coming along displaying their scarves, replica tops and even waiting outside the players entrance to catch a glimpse of the team arriving, or even managing to grab an autograph as players got out of their cars.

Following a brief conversation with chairman Jon Hale, it was evident how important our young supporters are and, within a few days, he asked if I would co-ordinate and lead the re-launch of the Junior Bulls Supporters Club.

Having been involved with the original Junior Bulls in the 1990's, I was excited and pleased to be getting involved again.

It's been great to see those past Junior Bull members now signing their youngsters up - these generations are the making of the HFC family.

To date, we have 280 members from birth to 15-years-old, who have taken advantage of free membership, including freebies, for the remainder of this season.

A keen supporter even joined up his newly born twins within 24 hours.

In the summer, we are going to launch our 2016/17 paid membership package which will include lots of benefits for Junior Bulls members, plus goodies and events to follow.

There will also be newsletters, birthday cards and exclusive Junior Bull Supporters merchandise.

Many of our new members this season have already taken part in half-time penalty shoot-outs and one of our competition winners won the chance to be match mascot.

The next involvement for the Junior Bulls will be acting as guard of honour on matchdays.

We firmly believe that our young supporters are the future of Hereford FC and, by getting them involved and feeling part of the club, it will help to build a firm foundation which will ultimately help secure the future of our club.

We always welcome new members, so if you'd like to join HFC Junior Bull Supporters Club, please email juniorbulls@herefordfc.co.uk or visit the official website herefordfc.co.uk for further details.
