PEGASUS Reserves have been reinstated to the HFA County League Premier Division following an appeal.

The side were forced to call off a number of games last season and were demoted to Division One after finishing on just seven points.

However, the Herefordshire Football Association have now allowed them back into the Premier Division after the team strengthened over the summer.

"It is never good for football for a team to be at the bottom of the league, so therefore they were given the opportunity to regroup in the lower league," said HFA chief executive Jim Lambert.

"Since then, Pegasus have asked if they could remain in the Premier Division due to recruitment of a new management team and many new Premier standard players.

"The management committee considered the information provided and agreed it would benefit the Premier Division to allow Pegasus to play there and make Division One more competitive."

Orleton Colts Reserves have also been allowed to remain in Division One after they indicated they had recruited a far stronger squad for the forthcoming season.

The Premier Division will have 15 teams next season, with Malvern Under-21s joining promoted teams Tenbury Town and Kington Town Reserves.

Kington will also have a Colts team in Division Two, while Credenhill and Belmont Downs join the fray.

Burghill Rangers, who won Division Two last Saturday, have withdrawn from the set-up.
