PEGASUS Juniors will be without star striker Cory Hyde for the next two games.

The Reds striker, who scored an incredible six goals in a 7-2 extra time win over Ellesmere Rangers in the FA Vase last week, is on holiday.

Peggy go to bottom club Gornal Athletic in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division tomorrow before facing Walsall Wood in the second qualifying round of the Vase.

"Gornal are struggling, so with the squad we've got now, we should be able to get something there," said Hyde.

"May be someone else will have to score six goals now."

Speaking about his haul against Ellesmere, Hyde said: "You never expect to score six goals, but the chances kept coming and I kept putting them away.

"This is the first season since I had my knee injury two years ago that I've felt 100% fit."

Hyde even had a chance to score a seventh goal, but gave the ball to strike partner Chris Mortlock to net a late penalty.

"I saw him standing there, so I thought I'd give it to him – he would have done the same for me," said Hyde.

"Just because I scored six goals doesn't mean I played better than him."
